Safety, Culture & Quality

At Birch Floor Screeding, we take the health, safety and wellbeing of our team and all those around us
very seriously. It is our duty to ensure that a culture is created so that each and everyone of us comes
home safe from the workplace every day. We aim to achieve this by engaging in projects early and
developing a clear works plan and involving both our own and clients teams in the process.

All of our team hold CSCS Green or Blue cards in line with
there occupation with all site managers holding a minimum SSSTS qualification. We continue to invest in our workforce
and currently have our senior operations team working towards the Level 6 Construction Site Management. The majority of our workforce all hold Sentinel ICI LUL qualifications for working
on rail and infrastructure projects.

We are approved ConstructionLine Silver Members, Acclaim SSP Members. We are also approved on Builders Profile and  Samsung Approved.

We operate the newest fleet of Putzmeister screed pumps
that all comply with the latest ULEZ
compliances. We conduct regular pro-active maintenance to ensure that our fleet are performing safely and efficiently across all of our projects.

We carry out weekly QA trackers with photographic images
in line with detailed ITPs or Works Package Plans and issue these around key project staff. We ensure we document our works including testing and highlighting where improvements need to be made.

We understand that some of our activities can have an impact on our carbon footprint and are very keen on exploring new ways on how we can reduce or offset during our day to day activities. Some of these include recycling
our excess materials or waste from whether it be one of our bespoke environmental screed pump wash out stations
or to planting trees and plants at our premises.

We were also proud to be part of a construction team that saw the largest living wall in Europe!

We believe that investing in our teams' future will help distill the core values and quality standards that the company was founded upon. As Considerate Contractors we see it as our duty to act as ambassadors for the construction industry. With that in mind our workforce when on site is fully identifiable with our uniform and our fleet is kept fully maintained and clean to uphold the image of a professional industry.

With our family ethos we involve all team members within the QA process which helps all team members buy into safety initiatives and best practices.
